A Bit of History
The Windowclean Centre was set up in 1998 and specialises in supplying window cleaning equipment for professionals and other clients in the UK and overseas.
The managing director, Darrell Chalkley, has worked in the window cleaning sector since the 1970s, initially in the business established by his father Edward (Ted) Chalkley. Ted’s first experience with the industry was during shore leave from the Merchant Navy during the war, when he joined a team cleaning windows in New York – including those on the Empire State building.
Our aim has always been to provide a complete service, supplying durable high quality tools and associated materials sourced from the best manufacturers in the UK, Europe and the US. And we back up this service with reliably rapid deliveries and excellent, technically well-informed customer care.
